ADLATUS® Flashloader

The generic flashloader for software updates of ECUs – across the entire life cycle, on all common bus systems.

Overview

Update programming, adaptable to any system environment.

The ADLATUS® Flashloader is a professional solution for software updates of ECUs. It provides extensive standardized safety and logistics functions from the automotive and industrial sectors and supports a wide range of bus systems and memory types.

Architecture

Generic at the core, modular in adaptation.

The ADLATUS® Flashloader is built in three layers. The stable core stays the same across all projects — only the layer that actually changes is adapted.

Use cases

  • Same programming sequence on a new processor → adapt HAL
  • Same processor for a different customer → adapt programming sequence (CPS)
ADLATUS® CPS

Programming sequence — customer-specific

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the ADLATUS® Flashloader

What does ADLATUS Flashloader incl. Bootmanager comprise?

ADLATUS Flashloader incl. Bootmanager is a generic software update solution for ECUs and consists of the sub-products ADLATUS Flashloader, ADLATUS Bootmanager and ADLATUS Reprog. All sub-products are based on the ADLATUS Software Suite. The flashloader is started by the Bootmanager as an application.

What areas of application is ADLATUS Flashloader intended for?

The Flashloader is intended for software updates of ECUs in the automotive and industrial sectors across the entire life cycle. It is used to program new application software via standardized diagnostic protocols.

Which buses are supported?

The Flashloader supports CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet.

How is the flashware protected against tampering?

The flashware is signed, and the signature is verified in the flashloader. For production with external manufacturing, the flashware can be encrypted.

Which processors are supported?

The Flashloader is available for S32Kx (NXP), SPC58NE84 Eiger (STM), SR6P6 Stellar (STM), RH850 (Renesas), C2000 F2800 (TI), ATSAM4S (Microchip), AURIX (INFINEON) and F4/F7 (STM). The portfolio is growing continuously. Porting to further processors is possible on request. Porting requires only hardware-specific adaptations in the HAL.
